Scoring

How does scoring work with Ice Stock team building? When each game is over (all eight stones are out on the ice), it’s time to judge the scores.

To ensure a fair game, there is always one referee on each line. The referee will provide an official measuring tool and will invite all members from each team to measure the distances together.

SCORING OPTION #1:
Closest stone to the daube: 3 points
All other stones from the same team that are closer to the daube than a competitor's stone: 2 points

SCORING OPTION #2:
The four stones closest to the daube from any team:

  1. (closest): 4 points
  2. 3 points
  3. 2 points
  4. 1 point

Note: Three rounds equal one set. Don’t worry if the rules are confusing – we will run as many practise rounds as you need!
